In the Tent, with Michael Bernard Fitzgerald

Four people, one artist, and a 10x20ft tent. Mismatched wooden chairs, pallet flooring, tree stumps side tables, roughly strung lights, perfectly brewed coffee,

and a beautifully intimate musical experience.

Tent Stage Setup

Taken from my chair

Not only was the music beautiful, relaxing, and meditative, but the conversation was fulfilling. From living minimally to absurd pet names an d Erlenmeyer flasks, the opportunity to connect with strangers is beautiful.

I feel reminded of simplicity. Of seeking less. Of finding things I love rather than having a collection of things that do not have meaning. I am reminded that polished does not equal beautiful. That rugged can feel more like home. That having a lot doesn’t signify happiness or success.

Life isn’t made up of the things we have, its what we do.

Thank you for the beautiful evening, MBF. Thank you for your music, your bad tent puns, and your creativity.
